Food for thought on gun control

This is just a short collection of facts, quotes and pictorial comments I have collected that offer some sobering thoughts on the issue of gun control and death by the State.

I find the attacks on the US Constitution’s Second Amendment quite troubling, especially as they are concurrent with the militarization of police forces across the United States and an increasing number of deaths by Law Enforcement in that country.

Developments regarding this issue also tie in with a post I published back in May of this year, Infowars has been warning of omens of “War on America” for well over a year.

The University of Hawaii’s Political Science Department maintains a World democide website, created by Professor Rudolph J. Rummel, which estimates at upwards of 262 million the number of people killed through democide in the 20th Century.

“Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5′, then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. Finally, given popular estimates of the dead in a major nuclear war, this total democide is as though such a war did occur, but with its dead spread over a century.” – R.J. Rummel
