corporate-news-propagandaIn this eye-opening talk published on February 6, 2015, veteran investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson exposes how “astroturf” – or fake grassroots movements funded by political, corporate, or other special interests – very effectively manipulate and distort media messages.

For instance, Sharyl reveals how the pharmaceutical industry manipulates the message to “massage” the public into accepting new drugs. She also explains why such sources as Wikipedia and Snopes should be approached with a 10 foot pole.
