Georgia Guidestones: Instructions for a Post-Apocalyptic World?

Some of you may not have heard of the Georgia Guidestones, said to be one of the strangest monuments in America. Astronomically aligned with the Sun and Moon, the structure was erected and unveiled in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia. Sometimes referred to as an “American Stonehenge”, it features a set of ten “guidelines” in eight modern languages (English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian), with a shorter message inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient languages: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit, and Egyptian hieroglyphs.

Wikipedia states that the “most widely agreed-upon interpretation of the stones is that they describe the basic concepts required to rebuild a devastated civilization.” The first “guideline” actually calls for maintaining World population below 500 million, “…in perpetual balance with nature.”

Apparently, in June 1979, an unknown person or group of persons under the pseudonym “R. C. Christian” — which some believe refers to Christian Rosenkreuz, legendary and possibly allegorical founder of the Rosicrucian Order — hired Elberton Granite Finishing Company to build the structure. In 1981, the company published a booklet about the Guidestones which you can view here as a PDF file on Wired Magazine‘s website. In April 2009, Wired also published a detailed article by Randall Sullivan which you can view here.

The land on which the structure stands was apparently purchased by Elbert County on October 1, 1979, although the Georgia Mountain Travel Association’s history says the monument is located “on the farm of Mildred and Wayne Mullenix.”

The structure was defaced and vandalized on several occasions. Apparently, the structure is under the care of the Elberton Granite Association, and cameras and additional security measures have been installed following these incidents.

Georgia_Guidestones_06The 10 “Guidelines” in English

  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external dis- putes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

The Georgia Guidestones are featured extensively in the Travel Channel episode Mysteries at the Museum: Monumental Mysteries Special, featuring Don Wildman. They are also featured in the conspiracy web series Guidestones, in the Brad Meltzer’s Decoded episode Apocalypse in Georgia, and in a 2013 documentary titled The Georgia Guidestones Movie. The monument is also featured in the “New World Order” episode of the History Channel series America Unearthed.

  4. About the cube, I believe it is mentioned in the Wikipedia article. As for the fly-over you mention, I am not aware of this, although I have seen pictures of paint sprayed over the monument that might have looked like blood from above – can you give me a link to the video? What intrigues me most if who is paying for the upkeep, the clean-ups after vandalism, and the cameras and extra security?

A lot of people have asserted that Ted Turner is in fact “R.C. Christian”, but so far I haven’t seen anything that would fully prove this, though it does line up quite nicely with his professions of needing to reduce the global population…

Did you see the report in the last few months or so, about how the little “cube” with markings of 2015 (and something else) was removed from the Guidestones..? Very bizarre.

I also found a video not long ago made by a guy who flew his quad-copter drone over the top of it, and found what appeared to be blood stains dripping from the center of the slab on top, down the side, which conjures questions of blood sacrifices possibly being performed on top of what would then be a massive stone altar….
